Royal Guest Outfit

Now that I finally have a functioning laptop again, I decided it was time to catch up on the latest fashion news. One of the biggest stories is the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. I got up early and watched the ceremony and while I loved the pomp and circumstance my favorite part was watching the guests’ outfits. Everyone looked so chic. Feeling inspired by the “morning dress” formal wedding attire, I decided to put together a look of my own. I absolutely adore hats!

Luvin’ Me Some Lauper

I caught an episode of Chelsea Lately last week. Chelsea Handler is one funny bitch. She had Cyndi Lauper on her show. Turns out Cyndi Lauper is one funny bitch too. I love her fun sense of style (8o’s themed mixers in college were always my favorite), her music, and upbeat personality. So I put together a set inspired by “Girls Wanna Have Fun.” I wanted to capture the carefree, fun and flirty side of the feminine spirit.

New Coach

Got this green gem at the Coach outlet in Hershey, $38. The sad thing, I told my friend I couldn’t do dinner last week because of money. I’m not beneath eating ramen for Coach.

Road to Recovery: Two steps forward, One step back

It’s a known truth that I can not have nice things. Not ever. I lost my high school class ring, my college class ring. I lost the pearls my parents got me for my 21st birthday. I’ve broken two digital cameras, and of course, numerous jewelry and clothes that I find ways to damage. My big girl nails are no different. I have managed to break at least one nail almost every week in the past 2 months. I have no idea how I do it, one minute nail is fine, the next minute the stupid thing is broken. For a recovering biter a broken nail is enough to make you fall off the wagon. So, I cover the broken nail with a band-aid, out of sight, out of mind. The good news I have not chewed by nails in almost three months. Two steps forward, one step back.
